Peach Bluffs

I was one of a number of people, some solo, some in groups quietly enjoying their visit to Seacow Head on a beautiful mid-August evening. Some were there for a moment and others for the evening but all were happily admiring the view.

The setting sun had joined forces with a diversity of clouds to create a stunning display of light and shadow in the sky. I was excitedly snapping photos of the lighthouse backed by the Western sky when I paused to look behind me.

The Eastern sky, alight with the remnants of the sun, had turned a beautiful soft and peachy pink, highlighting the intricate details carved into the reddish sandstone bluffs below.

I only caught a glimpse of this ephemeral light before it moved on. Sometimes that is enough.
