Beaming

My “plan” this evening had been to photograph the now destroyed sea arch at MacKenzie’s Brook but when we arrived, the high tide made the beach inaccessible. Lesson learned, check the tide tables before leaving.

No matter. The area has plenty of nice beaches and we quickly moved along to McNeil’s Brook. There I found many scenes to photograph.

Here, the explosively bright sun shines along the top of the water, catching the little patches of seaweed along the waterline and the stairs in the background. Further along you can see the three separate tips of the bluffs that define the outlines of the nearby inlets.

The painterly effect on the water comes from the long, 13s exposure which captured many waves gently rolling in and receding.
