Flight of the Gulls

I was taking a short afternoon stroll along the Victoria park boardwalk in early August. I only had 30 minutes and the boardwalk was bustling with people. Not usually how I like to work but still nice to snap photos of the bay and the glorious clouds occupying the sky at that moment.

At the very end of the walk, near the road, I saw dozens of seagulls who had congregated along the wet shoreline. I only got a couple of shots before something caused them to scramble.  

I took a hundred or so frames in about a minute. Most are a jumble of bird chaos overlaid on the otherwise tranquil backdrop of the bay. This one (#90) was one of the few exceptions. It gives me the sense that the gulls were, almost, organized.
 
A nice thought, even if not entirely true.
