Among Us

This scene caught my eye as I wandered a beach in the late afternoon on December 4th, 2022.

Sand covered stones, shells and other beach bits outlined by the tide and shaded by the sun came to life as transient little characters.

I was on the beach that day with my mum because two years prior, on December 4th 2020, my father passed away. She and I like to remember his passing with sand under foot and ocean in view.

To me, this scene has a familial feel to it. As I was putting my finishing touches on this photo, my son walked in. He was immediately taken by the characters. They reminded him of the characters in a popular game he played called “Among us”.
